Lincolnshire's Minor Counties Eastern division match against Cambridgeshire at March has ended in a draw. At the close of the rain-interrupted game Lincolnshire were 65 without loss in their second innings, a lead of 53. Director of cricket Mark Fell told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Losing so much time to the rain made it difficult. "We were prepared to declare and set them a target of 280 in 90 overs, but we but couldn't come to a target both sides could agree on." Fell felt that Cambridgeshire, who went into the match in second place in the division, one point behind Lincolnshire, had taken a negative stance in not trying to go for a victory. "There's only so much you can do, you need both teams to want to play," he admitted. "I suppose they were working on the basis that they don't want us to steal a march on them in the table, but they could have looked at it the other way. "If they'd got a lot of points here to open a gap on us then they'd be in the driving seat." As a result of the draw both sides drop one place in the Minor Counties Eastern division, with Suffolk overtaking both to claim top spot after their 160-run victory over Buckinghamshire.
