Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has said he is making good progress in his battle against throat cancer.
Jackson returned to Sincil Bank on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing treatment in March.
But he has stressed that his visit was a one-off and that he would not be back on a full-time basis until doctors gave him the all-clear.
He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It did knock me sideways. It wasn't pleasant but I've got stronger day by day."
The former Huddersfield boss added: "The hospital have said it's important that I don't rush back.
"You'll do two or three days at work and it'll set you back a couple of weeks. I'll come back when I'm fit and ready.
"I've been through a rough time but I'm looking forward to a tremendous season at Lincoln."
