Lewes midfielder Michael Standing says striker Sam Gargan has had a real impact on the Rooks.
Gargan has scored twice in two games since arriving on loan from Brighton, including the winner against Oxford.
Standing told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "He's made a real difference to us, he's someone Scott Taylor can play off and he's got height.
"He wins headers and gets hold of the ball. Hopefully we can keep him for a long time," he added.

Rooks have also signed Charlton defender Aswad Thomas, 19, on loan and Standing says the side is clearly stronger than it was in August.
"When you throw all the youngsters in together it was a bit of a culture shock for them. I think we're getting better.
"We've all been hurting, but now there is a little bit more experience and people don't panic. That's helping us now."
