Leicester City have completed the signing of striker Yann Kermorgant on a short-term contract until January.
The 27-year-old Frenchman was a free agent having left French side Stade Reims at the end of last season.
Kermorgant, who has been training with the club for most of the summer, impressed boss Nigel Pearson by scoring for the reserves last week.
Pearson has been keen to strengthen his strike force after hamstring injuries to Steve Howard and Martyn Waghorn.
The pair are expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
