Gallagher scored eight times for Blackburn in between loan spells.

Leicester City have signed Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year deal and could feature against Barnsley in the Championship this weekend.

Gallagher has previously had loan spells at Stoke City and Preston and spent last season with Plymouth Argyle, where he scored 13 goals.

Gallagher made his Premier League debut against Arsenal in 2003 after coming through the youth set-up at Ewood Park.

Meanwhile, Leicester have allowed striker Ashley Chambers, 19, to join Wycombe Wanderers on loan until 2 January.
