Foxes hit by double injury blow

Nigel Pearson
Pearson's side are unbeaten this season

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson says the double injury blow to Steve Howard and Martyn Waghorn has taken the shine off the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United.

The strikers both suffered hamstring injuries and there are fears that they could be ruled out for several weeks.

"It's disappointing but we'll have to weather it. You have to deal with it," Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester.

"I'm not going to bleat about it. We'll assess them, see how they are and then go from there."

But Pearson was happy with his side's performance, which saw them maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

"We were the better side in the first half and they probably shaded it in the second," Pearson said. "A point is probably a fair result.

"We did play very, very well in the first half and we had some very good performances but it inevitably they were going to have a spell in the game.

"We're relatively pleased with how things have gone so far but there's no letting-up in this league.

"We've dropped four points in the space of four days which is disappointing but there are plenty of positives as well."
