Leicester City are in League One for the first time

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has been named League One manager of the month for August.

The ex-Southampton manager has steered the club to the top of the table and notched up three wins and a draw since taking over in June.

Pearson told the club website: "It's nice to be recognised but it's certainly not about one person, it's a concerted team effort."

The Foxes scored a total of 12 goals and conceded four in August.
