Wilson feels Leicester have the calibre to bounce straight back
Hartlepool United manager Danny Wilson has tipped Leicester City for promotion after going down 3-0 to the Foxes in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie.
Leicester were relegated from the Championship on the final day of last season and Wilson believes they can return at the first attempt.
"These boys are Championship players, if not some of them Premier League players," he told BBC Tees.
"They have players coming back and they have a formidable squad."
Pools lost midfielder Alan Power to a knock during the game and were without defender Ben Clark, plus midfielders Willie Boland and Ritchie Jones through injury.
However with working on a tight budget, Wilson remains coy on the possibility of emergency loan deals.
"We'll have to wait and see. We've gone with what we've got at this moment in time," he said.
"If by this time next week we're struggling to get players or players are injured or suspended then I think we're going to have to."
