Delph is a marked man - Grayson

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson believes midfielder Fabian Delph is being marked out by opposition teams as their danger man.

The 19-year-old England Under-21 international has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Grayson told the BBC: "He's got great talent, he can pass the ball, he covers the ground, he loves to tackle.

"He's probably finding in the last four or five weeks that now everyone is aware of him - he's a marked man."

Delph made his Leeds debut in the final game of the 2006-07 season when Leeds were relegated from the Championship, and after making just two first-team appearances last season, the midfielder has established himself this campaign.

He has made 43 first-team appearances this season, scoring six goals, and despite attracting the interest of several Premier League clubs, Delph signed a new four-year deal at Elland Road in September 2008.

"He's a young kid so he's going to go through ups and downs in his career, but the lad's got huge talent," Grayson said.

"I don't want to over-praise him because I don't want him to leave the football club, and I don't think we have to do."
