Delph is going nowhere - Grayson

Fabian Delph
Delph has come through the Leeds United youth academy

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has reiterated that the club will not sell midfielder Fabian Delph.

National newspaper reports have linked the 19-year-old midfielder with a 10m move to Manchester United.

"I'm aware there is a lot of interest in the player, but I don't have to sell him at all," Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds.

"But I must reiterate he is not for sale, we are not in a position where we have to sell players."

Delph has scored five goals in 19 league appearances this season, including a spectacular strike in Leeds' 3-1 win at Stockport County.

His form has also earned him an England under-21 cap.

National newspaper reports had suggested that Manchester United would offer 6m up front for Delph along with add-ons for future appearances and trophy successes.

Old Trafford starlets Darron Gibson and Rodrigo Possben would be offered as loans to Leeds as an extra incentive.

Fulham are also reportedly ready to offer 6m for Delph.

Grayson added: "Unless it's a ridiculous offer for him we won't even consider selling him.

"The player is happy here, he's playing first team football.

"He'll benefit greatly from actually playing first team football here," he added.

Hopefully the targets I had for Blackpool may now come here instead

Meanwhile Grayson has refused to rule out bringing new blood in before Saturday's game at Hereford United.

"There will be players coming in, there is no doubt about that, and there is money to spend.

"Hopefully the targets I had for Blackpool may now come here instead.

"I know the areas we need to strengthen and we are working hard to get the players in as quickly as possible."
