David Reynolds leaves Kidderminster Harriers board
Reynolds was chairman when Harriers won the Conference in 1994
Kidderminster Harriers' former chairman David Reynolds has decided to leave the board of the club's parent company Aggborough Holdings Ltd.
Reynolds was instrumental in launching a rescue package to try to save the club last year.
He says he believes that his departure may encourage other parties to invest in the Harriers.
"Without his financial input in 2009 and 2010, Harriers would not be in business," said chairman Mark Serrell.
"David has also waived repayment on all the loans he has given to the club."
Reynolds stepped down as chairman in 1999 to allow Lionel Newton to take over but returned in October last year after then chairman Barry Norgrove appealed for help to save the club.
"He has only ever been interested in ensuring the best for Kidderminster Harriers FC, " added Serrell.
"To this end, we have to reluctantly accept the decision that he has made."
