Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr has admitted that midfielder Chris McPhee missed the defeat by Newport because he got the start time wrong.

McPhee, 27, incorrectly assumed the match, which started at 1300 GMT, was a 1500 GMT kick-off.

"He didn't make it to the ground on time, unfortunately," Burr told BBC Hereford and Worcester after the match.

"It's one of those, I'm obviously disappointed because he's been a key player for us."

Harriers battled back from 2-0 down to level the scores before Paul Bignot scored a late winner for the Welsh side.

Burr added: "We were disappointed to lose but I can't congratulate the lads enough for not laying down.

"I was pleased that they kept going, earlier in the season I think they might have caved in."
