Gary Whild felt Harriers did not get the breaks at the Racecourse Ground
Kidderminster Harriers bowed out of the FA Trophy at the first round stage after a 2-0 defeat at Wrexham.
Jay Harris put the Welshmen ahead on the half hour after he capitalised on a Harriers defensive error.
Four minutes later Wrexham effectively put the game to bed when David Brown seized on a through ball to again beat Danny Lewis in the Harriers goal.
Harriers best chance came soon after the break when Mark Creighton cleared Mitchell McPike's shot off the line.
After picking up 11 points out of a possible 15 in the league to climb to fifth in the Blue Square Bet Premier, it was a first defeat in six games for the 1987 Trophy winners.
Harriers assistant manager Gary Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "It's disappointing obviously, as supporters and players want a run in cup competitions.
"That is what is all about but today it wasn't to be but I thought we did have our chances to get back into the game.
"In the second half we had a go and probably should have got back into it."
