Ingham led York out in the 2010 Blue Square Premier play-off final
York registered their fifth successive clean sheet after a goalless draw against Kidderminster Harriers.
Chris McPhee came close to opening the scoring for the hosts but could only hit the post from six yards out.
The visitors almost broke the deadlock after the break but David McDermott's 30-yard effort also hit the woodwork.
Both sides could have won it late on but Peter Till fired wide for York before keeper Michael Ingham saved from McPhee and Lee Vaughan.
Kidderminster assistant manager Gary Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I thought we bossed the first half but missed chances and we are disappointed with a point.
"That is a great attitude and it shows where we are with the lads.
"They [York] had a spell in the last 10 or 15 minutes but up until then I thought the lads at the back did well for us.
"But it was difficult out there tonight - I walked on there at the end as we had been shouting at the lads and expecting them to do better but the conditions were difficult."
