Yates hopes to emulate Aldershot

Mark Yates says the Conference is stronger this season

Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates says he wants to emulate Blue Square Premier champions Aldershot by winning the title on a small wage bill.

Harriers cannot match the salaries of some of the bigger Conference payers, but Yates knows it is not necessarily those with most money that win titles.

"The division's very strong," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "One or two clubs are throwing big money at it.

"But Aldershot weren't the best payers. And they showed what could be done."
