Iyseden Christie is to sign for Stevenage Borough after turning down a new contract at Kidderminster Harriers.
Christie had verbally agreed to re-sign for Harriers, but has been offered more money at Stevenage.
"They've offered him mega money," said Harriers boss Mark Yates. "We couldn't have done any more to try and keep him.
"He'd agreed last week to come in and sign for us. But he rang me to say he won't be signing after all and will be taking up an offer from Stevenage."
Yates told the club website: "We're obviously disappointed, but we wish him all the best for the future."
Christie leaves Aggborough after scoring 44 goals in 126 appearances since being signed by Jan Molby from Mansfield Town in 2004.
