Iyseden Christie has been invited to extend his stay at Aggborough
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates is hopeful that he has done enough to keep striker Iyseden Christie at the club.
Christie's contract expires next month but he has been offered a new deal.
Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "We're hopeful that we've done enough to secure him.
"He wants to be here, he likes it here, the club and the supporters, he's treated properly and he knows that's got to be right for him."
Yates added that he expects to find out soon if the 31-year-old is staying at Aggborough.
"Hopefully in the next week or so we'll have something to report."
Christie, who was first brought to Aggborough by Jan Molby in August 2004, ended the season in great scoring form, 12 of his season's 17-goal tally coming in the Harriers' last 14 games.
Meanwhile Yates says goalkeeper Chris MacKenzie's future is still to be decided.
MacKenzie, who turns 36 later this month, signed from Shrewsbury Town in January after initially moving on loan to Harriers for two months in September.
