Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates has said he is close to completing deals for Simon Russell and Dean Bennett.
Russell is Harriers' longest-serving player, while Bennett had a spell on loan at Aggborough last season.
Yates has told BBC Hereford & Worcester he is confident the deals will go through without any problems.
"Once everyone is back training they'll realise they need to be at places or they will be at a loose end."
Meanwhile Yates said he is very pleased with the balance of their pre-season friendly matches.
Harriers will open with a trip to Redditch United on Saturday 12 July before entertaining Hereford United and Plymouth Argyle.
He said: "Hereford will be a great test for us and Plymouth are a Championship side.
"You can't read too much into the results from these games though, all you hope to gain is extra fitness and a look at one or two players."
