Poppies boss Lee Harper to 'get the best' from Ashikodi
Harper made Ashikodi his fourth new summer signing in June
Kettering Town manager Lee Harper has said returning striker Moses Ashikodi can score 25 goals next season.
The 22-year-old originally left over a disciplinary issue following November's FA Cup match against Leeds United.
"I don't see why I can't get the best out of him," Harper told BBC Radio Northampton.
"There were some issues, but I'm sure he can deliver. He's been at a lot of clubs and it's time he proved himself with at least 20 to 25 goals."
Ashikodi scored 19 goals in 32 games for Kettering Town and Ebbsfleet United in 2009/10.
"Moses and I didn't have a problem, even when he left the club," said Harper.
We want to be winning games and putting more than one goal past a team.

"I'm new in the job and I realise some players show their passion for the game in different ways."
Harper has also signed striker Iyseden Christie, and defenders Luke Graham and Tommy Jaszczun this summer. Wrexham's Ashley Westwood has also been offered a contract.
Sol Davis and Nathan Abbey were on short-term deals last season, but have agreed to stay at Rockingham Road.
John Dempster, Ian Roper, Greg Taylor, Andre Boucard and Harper himself have all signed new contracts.
"We might not add much more. We might start with what we've got and then loan another striker if the goals aren't going in.
"We want to be winning games and putting more than one goal past a team.
"But it's coming together nicely and we're looking forward to the start of the season."
