Seddon once scored five goals in a match for former club Hyde
Kettering Town manager Mark Cooper has backed last season's top scorer Gareth Seddon can improve further as a player.
The 29-year-old former Bury and Hyde forward hit 21 goals in 52 appearances, helping the Poppies to eighth in the Blue Square Premier.
"He's got to be better with his first touch, and hold the ball up for us. But he's always going to get us goals," Cooper told BBC Radio Northampton.
"He's a willing runner and he works his socks off."
Cooper is in the process of finding a partner for Seddon and the Kettering manager is also after other players.
"We've got to add three or four more players to add a bit of quality to what we've got. We need a striker, a target man, someone who can play wide, another defender and a goalkeeper," he said.
The two arrivals to the Elgoods Brewery Arena so far have been centre-half Greg Taylor from Northampton Town, and midfielder Lee Fowler from Forest Green.
"Greg is a utility player, which is invaluable to us, since we have a small squad. I saw him a number of times at Northampton Town and he always impressed," he said.
"We're going to try to improve the quality of our play in terms of possession so he'll definitely help us."
