Cooper fancies play-off chances

Mark Cooper
Cooper is confident his team will be in the mix for promotion

Kettering Town boss Mark Cooper says they are still in the race for a Blue Square Premier play-off place.

The Poppies came from behind twice through on-loan striker Ben Wright to beat Ebbsfleet 2-1 and leave them two points behind the play-offs.

Cooper told BBC Radio Northampton: "We've got everybody to play, and people will be saying we can't get in there because of the games we've got.

"But I quite fancy us against the bigger teams," he added.

Kettering have eight league games remaining, which includes meetings with four of the other promotion contenders and a local derby with Rushden & Diamonds.

Their next game is away to table-toppers Burton Albion on Tuesday.
