Dempster's side have games in hand over most of the teams above them
Kettering Town skipper John Dempster has targeted a play-off place following Saturday's 2-0 victory at Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier.
The Poppies now trail fifth-placed Stevenage by just three points with 11 matches remaining.
"We don't have a massive squad at Kettering but there is strength in key areas," the 25-year-old defender told BBC Radio Northampton.
"Hopefully that will see us through to the end of the season."
He added: "If we nip into the play-offs, what a fantastic achievement that will be."
Kettering secured the points at the Wessex Stadium thanks to second-half goals from Gareth Seddon and Ange Lorougnon, and now visit York City on Tuesday.
