Keane has made just two signing so far this summer
Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane says he will strive to replace a trio of players who look set to leave Portman Road this week.
Alex Bruce, Owen Garvan and Jonathan Stead are all in talks with other clubs and Keane insists replacements will be on the way.
He told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We may need a midfielder depending on what happens with Garvan.
"I've always said we may need another striker, especially if Stead goes."
Keane confirmed the club had accepted offers from Leeds United for Bruce, Crystal Palace for Garvan and Blackpool for Stead, but hopes it will give his younger players a chance to shine.
A new goalkeeper is also high on the agenda, with Sunderland boss Steve Bruce revealing Hungarian stopper Marton Fulop is close to moving to Suffolk.
Experienced players tend to instruct younger players around them
Ipswich boss Roy Keane on Mark Kennedy
"I think I've spoken to Brucey more than my wife in the last month," joked Keane.
"We have other targets and obviously Brucey knows that. I think Marton wants to come but there's negations to be done.
"It's dragging its heels a little bit but I think it will come to a head in the next 24 to 48 hours.
"I'm hopeful but you always have to be wary until a player has signed on the dotted line."
Keane dismissed reports that he had been tracking former Liverpool right-back Steve Finnan, claiming he was happy with his options in that position.
But the signing of Mark Kennedy to fill the void on the other side of the pitch has pleased the Ipswich boss.
The 34-year-old managed 45 minutes in Wednesday's 1-0 friendly win over Bury Town.
"I think we've lacked one or two experienced players in the group anyway," Keane said.
"Experienced players tend to instruct younger players around them.
"At left-back I think young Shane O'Connor's done very well for us. But it's unfair to expect him to play 40-odd games for us."
Meanwhile, the knock that winger Luciano Civelli picked up against Leiston on Tuesday is likely to keep him out for up to two weeks.
