Ipswich boss Roy Keane accepts blame for FA Cup exit

Ipswich still off pace - Keane

Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane has admitted he "didn't do a good enough job" as his side went out of the FA Cup at Southampton on Saturday.

Keane told BBC Suffolk: "I'm pretty annoyed with myself. We were desperate to get into the next round and I certainly need to do better.

"[That means] team selection, preparation for the game, tactics or whatever it might be."

The defeat was Ipswich's first FA Cup loss to a lower league side since 2002.

Meanwhile, Town are awaiting the results of a scan on captain Jon Walters' hamstring injury.

The 26-year-old lasted just 45 minutes of Saturday's FA Cup tie and is set to miss his team's next two games at least.
