Lee-Barrett joined Ipswich in August after being released by Hartlepool
Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett has agreed to sign a new 18-month contract after an impressive start to his career at the club.
His side have lost in just one of his nine appearances since taking over from Richard Wright, who was injured during the game at Cardiff City in November.
The 26-year-old told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I'm very pleased the club has shown faith in me.
"I hope to keep on improving and prove that I'm worth having."
Town manager Roy Keane told the club website: "He has done well for us but the hard work starts now.
"He knows he has got to battle on for the number one jersey."
Keane has recently recruited Brian Murphy from League of Ireland Premier Division side Bohemians, and has refused to rule out signing another goalkeeper.
Wright is expected to be out of action until March as he recovers from a knee ligament injury.
