Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane wants to sign 25-year-old loan defender Liam Rosenior on a permanent deal.

Keane told BBC Suffolk: "We'll look at that over the next month or two but we obviously have the comfort of knowing he's here until the end of the season.

"To say I'm pleased with Liam would be an understatement, I think he's done really well for us and we're delighted to have him at the club."

Rosenior's contract at his parent club Reading runs out this summer.

Keane also played down the injury which forced his defender to limp out of Saturday's FA Cup win at Blackpool.

"I don't think it's too bad, it's just a kick and I expect my players to get kicked.

"I look around the dressing room after every game and I'm always worried if I don't see ice-packs on their legs. You should be getting kicked, it's a physical game."
