Colback has yet to make a senior start for Sunderland
Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback on loan until January.
The 19-year-old - who has represented England at Under-20 level - has been with the Black Cats since he was 11 but has yet to make a senior appearance.
Ipswich manager Roy Keane told BBC Radio Suffolk: "He's a good young midfielder who's tenacious and can deal with the ball."
Colback is expected to make the squad for Sunday's game at Coventry.
Meanwhile, Keane has refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with a move for Watford striker Tamas Priskin, explaining: "I have to be fair to the players and the clubs we've been in talks with.
"I think it's very unfair and I would never do it [comment on speculation] as long as I'm manager of Ipswich."
However he did admit he is closing in on one of his targets.
"We're hoping there will be news in the next 24 or 48 hours in terms of a player signing for the club, particularly in an attacking position," Keane said.
