Shumulikoski will wear the number eight shirt for Preston
Preston have signed Ipswich's Veliche Shumulikoski for an undisclosed fee.
The Macedonia midfielder, 28, has signed a three-year deal could make his debut against Bristol City on Saturday.
He joined Ipswich in January 2008 after spells in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia and Turkey and made 43 appearances for the Tractor Boys.
"I'm happy now I'm here," Shumulikoski told BBC Radio Lancashire. "There were some complications but now I'm here. I'm ready to play at the weekend."
"I've been wanting to move to Preston for four months," said the Struga-born player.
I am very confident he will do a good job. I believe that he can continue to play a big part in English football
Preston boss Alan Irvine
"I've had my first training session today and I've seen we've got some brilliant players.
"I watched them in the play-offs last season and if we can do the same again this season it'll be good for the club."
Shumulikoski feels he will benefit from learning to speak English during his time with Ipswich.
"When I joined Ipswich I couldn't speak English. But over the last 18 months I've listened to the players so I should be OK and I'll try my best to understand everybody," he said.
"I speak six languages but I certainly hope to improve my English here."
Boss Alan Irvine told the club website: "I am very confident he will do a good job. I believe that he can continue to play a big part in English football."
