Keane looking at familiar targets

Ipswich manager Roy Keane has indicated his transfer targets in the close season will include players he has dealt with in the past.

Keane said they could be players he has managed or played with, or featured in an opposition team while at Sunderland.

He told the club website: "I like to go down the route of going for players I know a little bit about and that will probably continue."

The Town boss has urged patience while he draws up a potential shortlist.

"If we can do a deal with the players I want then great, if not then we will back away and be patient," Keane added.

"There are some talented players here already and I've been pleasantly surprised but we need a bit more to have a chance of getting out of this league."
