Goalscorer Bowditch has just signed a new one year deal

Ipswich Town kicked off their pre-season programme with an emphatic 3-0 win over Southern League side Bury Town on Wednesday.

The goals came from Dean Bowditch, Jaime Peters and Ed Upson.

New reserve team development coach Chris Kiwomya took charge of an Ipswich side that was largely made up of reserve and academy players.

Their next game is away to Brentford on Friday when more first-team regulars are expected to feature.
