McAuley has won ten caps for Northern Ireland

Ipswich Town have made their second summer signing with the capture of Leicester City defender Gareth McAuley.

The 28-year-old Northern Ireland international has put pen to paper on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

His arrival ends a lengthy pursuit by Town manager Jim Magilton who made his first offer for the player in January.

After joining Leicester from Lincoln City in 2006 McAuley went on to make 84 appearances for the Foxes before they were relegated last season.
