Ternent's side have conceded nine goals in their last two games
Huddersfield Town manager Stan Ternent has told BBC Radio Leeds that there is no need to panic over their current league position.
The Terriers are 19th in the League One table after consecutive defeats in which they have conceded nine goals.
Ternent said: "I need to get a bit of confidence into them, and the thing that brings the confidence is results.
"We're playing quite well but everything at the moment seems to be going against us."
He added: "I just carry on that way so there's no panic for me because these are good players.
"Why would I panic? I've been manager for a long time and I would prefer to be travelling to Carlisle on Christmas Day in charge of Huddersfield Town.
"But if I'm not then I'll have my Christmas dinner at home, so what is there to panic about?
It's a challenge and at the end, when we get it right, then it's worth it
Huddersfield manager Stan Ternent
"No matter what anybody tells you, when you have a lack of confidence then it's a difficult situation.
"All these fans who are encouraged to phone in with their opinion are entitled to have that opinion, but the vast majority of them haven't been in the situation where these players are at, and they might not have the mental toughness or mental courage and disciplines to dig themselves out, and I'm sure the players have.
"I need the fans on the players side. Don't worry about me - I'm OK.
"I prefer to be manager of Huddersfield Town. I left a good job to take this job - they paid me more money than I'm paid at Huddersfield - but it's a challenge and at the end, when we get it right, then it's worth it."
Huddersfield have the chance to improve their league position with successive home games against League One strugglers Yeovil and Crewe, but Ternent will not heed the calls from some supporters to change the team.
