Unsworth has enjoyed two spells with Everton during his career

Veteran defender David Unsworth has agreed a deal to join Huddersfield Town, subject to a medical.

The 34-year-old, who left Burnley at the end of last season, has impressed during a trial with the Terriers.

Unsworth will undergo his medical on Monday but is available for Saturday's clash with Stockport after signing initial non-contract terms.

Huddersfield manager Stan Ternent told the club website: "We have agreed a deal with David."
