Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Ipswich Town winger Gary Roberts on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old played 61 times for Town after joining from Accrington Stanley in October 2006.
"Gary is an extremely good player, whose preferred position is on the left wing, but can play elsewhere," manager Stan Ternent told the club's website.
"I expected big things from him, as he is a talented lad."
He added: "He can score goals as well as create them and is a forward-going player."
Ipswich manager Jim Magilton told the club's official website: "He probably will think he didn't do himself justice here in the end."
Meanwhile, Ternent has also revealed that David Unsworth has joined Huddersfield on trial.
The 34-year-old former England defender rejected a player-coach role at Burnley and is a free agent.
Ternent added: "If I feel he can help us get to where we need to be then I'll do something with him."
"I know he is a fantastic lad and has been an extremely good player, i just hope he still is."
Ternent is still yet to make up his mind on his other trialists, goalkeeper Paul Gerrard and midfielder Tony Grant.
