Beck's return will aid Histon chairman search - Soraff
Beck left Histon as assistant to former boss Steve Fallon in September
Histon chief executive Allen Soraff has said he believes the return of John Beck as manager will help the club to secure a new chairman.
Tony Roach resigned from the position in April and the Stutes have been without a chairman ever since.
Soraff told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We have spoken to several people and will be speaking to them again but it's a long process.
"I think now John is at the helm of team affairs talks will become easier."
Allen Soraff, Angelo Dama, Colin Pettit, and Paul Pleszko currently make up the Histon board.
And the club would like a chairman who can bring extra finance into the club, but Soraff said that is not their key criteria.
"We're looking for someone who can nurture this club, who is experienced and well known," he said.
"We need someone who can take Histon Football Club and move it forward in one big leap."
John will probably have the lowest budget in this league, but that doesn't mean he will have the worst team in this league

Beck, who was named as the successor to former boss Alan Lewer on Thursday, has signed a two-year deal at the club and will be tasked with helping the Stutes to avoid relegation.
"John will probably have the lowest budget in this league, but that doesn't mean he will have the worst team in this league," Soraff said.
