Tim Russon defends Hereford United Simon Davey sacking

Hereford United vice-chairman Tim Russon has defended the club's decision to sack manager Simon Davey after just 10 league games in charge.
The Bulls are currently bottom of League Two having won only one game since the start of the season.
Russon told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Our record is woeful - we have only won one game all season and that is the worst record in the country.
"At some stage we have to stand up and make a decision."
Russon and chairman David Keyte appointed Davey in the summer shortly after assuming control at Edgar Street.
And he insisted removing the manager after just four months in charge was not an easy decision.
"It was probably one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make," he said.
"The last thing we thought about when we came in was firing managers and we were desperate to make it work."
Davey's final game in charge saw Hereford lose 2-0 to fellow strugglers Barnet.
"We gave Simon Davey everything we could in terms of back up and support and he did his best," said Russon.
"He worked hard and gave his all and we can't ever argue about what he has brought to the club in terms of effort and enthusiasm.
"But it hasn't worked out - you look at the league table and it is there for all to see.
"We have scored fewer goals than anybody else and taking goal difference into account we are already [effectively] four points adrift at the foot of the table.
"The manager himself said on your radio station last week that they had to go to Barnet and win and Saturday was a turning point."
