Davey fielded trialists against his hometown club Swansea
Hereford manager Simon Davey was happy with his side's performance after they beat Swansea City 2-0 at Edgar Street.
The new boss told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "A win is a win, but against opposition like Swansea who put a fantastic team out, it was a good show.
"I thought the players answered every question they were asked.
"It took a while for the players to get used to the system but I was pleased that after 20 minutes they started to move the ball quickly."
James McQuilkin and Sean Canham scored the goals for the Bulls against their managerless Championship opposition.

Davey set out with a 4-3-3 system and the new manager says the players adapted well: "You never say never in football but I'm going to play with three at the moment. If things have to be changed I'll change them.
"There are questions to be asked when you play a 4-3-3 system, we need defensive capablities from the strikers as well.
"They have to learn what I expect of them.
"All three of the strikers pulled the trigger when they needed to, so I am pleased with the way everyone played, and for the first 60 minutes we matched them all the way.
"We put some trialists on in the second half and they also did well."
