Fleetwood initially joined Hereford from Cardiff in 2006

Hereford United have re-signed Charlton striker Stuart Fleetwood on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old left United in 2007 to join Forest Green Rovers where he scored 28 Blue Square Premier goals in his first season at The Lawn.

This attracted the attention of Charlton Athletic, who signed him for an undisclosed fee in June 2008.

But he failed to make an impact at The Valley and spent loan spells at Cheltenham, Brighton and Exeter City.

Fleetwood joined Cardiff City as a schoolboy and progressed through the ranks to make 12 first-team appearances between 2003 and 2006.

The Welshman was then placed on the transfer list and was signed by Graham Turner at Hereford in January 2006.
