Trewick is not ruling out a shock when Hereford go to Portsmouth
Hereford United manager John Trewick says he is delighted his side have been handed a Carling Cup second-round tie at Premier League side Portsmouth.
The Bulls earned the right to travel to Fratton Park after knocking out League One side Charlton in the first round.
"It's an interesting tie as they are in a little bit of turmoil at the moment," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"If the circumstances are right I can see us going down there and having a real good go."
On-loan winger Jonny Godsmark netted the only goal of their first-round match in extra-time while the Bulls were also indebted to goalkeeper Adam Bartlett, who had earlier saved a penalty.
While stressing that no-one at Edgar Street is getting carried away, Trewick said the opening-day 2-2 draw at Morecambe coupled with the Carling Cup win represents a solid start to the season.
Frank Padovani is still here and we are just looking at him as he is an interesting one

"It's pleasing as the draw away from home and then the win at home in the cup is satisfactory," he said.
"Obviously from a confidence point of view the win on Tuesday has done us no harm at all.
"If we can build from that then I think that we can go on and have some even better results."
Trewick is still looking to add to his attacking options and is also still running the rule over one player who featured during some of his side's pre-season matches.
"Frank Padovani is still here and we are just looking at him as he is an interesting one," he said.
"Unfortunately he doesn't speak very much English which is a bit of a hindrance.
"But he has shown some interesting qualities and I just want to have a bit longer to have a look at him."
