Rose has high hopes for the Bulls in the coming season
Hereford United defender Richard Rose is confident the Bulls can put last season behind them and bounce back to League One at the first attempt.
Rose has been impressed by the calibre of summer arrivals at Edgar Street and says the signs are promising.
"I really think we are going to get promoted and all the lads are thinking the same as well," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It is a good team spirit and I think we can do it."
After the success of automatic promotion to League One at the end of the 2007-08 campaign, United were to come down to earth with a bump last season when they finished bottom of the division.
Rose is one of only four senior players remaining from last season and he admits it has been a busy summer as he gets to know his new team-mates.
But he has been delighted by how quickly things have come together.
"The manager [John Trewick] has let a few players go and the lads who have come in have gelled really quickly," he said.
"It has been good as normally when you have a new team it can take a few games into the new season.
"But the way we were playing in the first couple of weeks in pre-season was really encouraging," he added.
The change of manager at Edgar Street this summer has attracted widespread interest within the game as Graham Turner stepped down after 14 years in charge, although he remains as chairman.

Richard Rose says it took a little while to get used to the change of manager but the early indications are that John Trewick is very much his own man and is keen to put his stamp on things.
"There has been a lot of ball work early on whereas there was a little bit more running in last pre-season," he said.
"But John has taken similar traits to those of the gaffer from last year [Graham Turner], so I think it is going to be pretty much the same.
"But then he has his own ideas as well so it is looking encouraging."
