Darren Randolph is at Hereford until January but is unlikely to feature again
Hereford United boss Graham Turner has revealed that keeper Darren Randolph refused to play in Saturday's FA Cup draw with Dagenham and Redbridge.
The 21-year-old, on loan from Charlton, was replaced by Craig Samson.
Turner said in a statement: "Darren informed me that he had heard we were interested in another goalkeeper and refused to take part in the match.
"Had he been a contracted player with us his contract would have been terminated for a serious breach."
Turner continued: "However, being on a standard loan the maximum disciplinary action we can take is to fine him two weeks' wages.
"Darren has to remain our player until January but it is unlikely that he will play for us again."
The Republic of Ireland B and Under-21 international had played 14 games for the Bulls since arriving from The Valley in July. But his place appears to be under threat following reports that Hereford are planning to bring in Matt Murray on loan from Wolves.
