Brown opened his account for the summer against Morton

Hartlepool United made a winning start to their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 defeat of Greenock Morton at Cappielow Park on Tuesday.

Goals from striker James Brown and midfielder Anthony Sweeney gave manager Danny Wilson's side a boost on their Scottish tour.

Pools' new midfield duo of Alan Power and Ritchie Jones also featured.
