Chanderpaul was due to compete in the Champions Trophy

Durham batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has reversed his decision to quit following the cancellation of the Champions Trophy in September.

Chanderpaul, 33, was due to join up with the West Indies side in Pakistan but will now remain with Durham until the end of the season.

Coach Geoff Cook's side will be boosted by the news as they maintain their Division One title bid.

Lancashire travel to the Riverside in the County Championship on Wednesday.
