Grimsby Town have confirmed that winger Lewis Gobern and goalkeeper Nick Colgan have been released by the club.
Gobern, 25, had been suspended pending an investigation into a training ground incident whilst Colgan, 37, has not featured for The Mariners this season.
"We wish them both well and there's no animosity between the club and both players," Grimsby manager Neil Woods told BBC Radio Humberside.
"A decision's been made and both have left by mutual consent," Woods added.
Gobern joined the Mariners from MK Dons last July on a free transfer from MK Dons.
Colgan arrived from Sunderland in July 2009 but has spent a month of this season on loan at Huddersfield Town.
