Grimsby Town goalkeeper Nick Colgan is set to leave
Grimsby Town goalkeeper Nick Colgan is looking to leave the club once his contract expires at the end of June.
BBC Radio Humberside understands that Colgan may not exercise an option to stay at Blundell Park for another year.
Mariners manager Neil Woods has told the BBC that he would be happy for the player to stay.
He said: "I want competition for every position and to have two goalkeepers, but he does have an option to leave so that's up to Nick."
Colgan took plenty of stick from fans as the Mariners lost at Burton Albion on the final day of last season to confirm their relegation from the Football League.
The signing of Kenny Arthur from Accrington last week means Colgan is facing the prospect of being Woods' second-choice keeper and that is likely to result in the player looking for a future away from Blundell Park.
