Nicky Featherstone signed as a pro with home town club Hull in July 2006
League Two strugglers Grimsby Town have brought in two loan signings in one day to bolster their midfield options.
Hull City's Nicky Featherstone, 21, has signed a deal until 4 January.
And Barnsley's Michael Coulson, 22, moves to Blundell Park just days after completing a month's loan at Blue Square Premier bottom club Chester.
Grimsby are still to win in five games under caretaker manager Neil Woods since the departure of former Mariners boss Mike Newell last month.
Grimsby pulled off a late revival under Newell to avoid relegation from the Football League by just four points last season, sending Chester down instead.
And they are struggling again this season, standing 23rd in League Two, three points adrift of safety.
Michael Coulson played for Barnsley at Wembley in the 2008 FA Cup semi-final
Coulson did well in his five starts with Chester, scoring in a 3-1 win at Grays. And, although financially-challenged City wanted to keep him, they could not afford to extend the deal.
Now the Mariners have nipped in to sign Coulson, who has played 25 games at Barnsley since signing from Scarborough in 2006.
And they made it two signings in a day by adding Hull-born Featherstone, who has made 16 appearances for the Tigers since being signed as a pro in July 2006.
