Forbes spent the last three months of last season on loan at Grimsby
Grimsby Town have completed the signing of Millwall striker Adrian Forbes on a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old spent time on loan at Blundell Park last season but feared at one stage that the move to the League Two club would not happen.
"It's taken a long time and I was hoping to have got something sorted sooner rather than later," he told BBC Radio Humberside.
"In the end it's taken the whole of the summer but it's done now."
Forbes made 15 appearances for the Mariners and scored three goals, helping to steer the club away from relegation from the Football League.
Meanwhile, Grimsby boss Mike Newell has confirmed the club are making progress in their search to sign a new goalkeeper but has reiterated they will not be rushed.
Phil Barnes and Gary Montgomery were both released at the end of last season, leaving Grimsby with no recognised shot-stopper.
