Jean Paul Kalala has made 10 appearances for Grimsby

Grimsby Town manager Mike Newell has said he wants on-loan players JP Kalala, Rob Atkinson and Adam Proudlock to stay on at Blundell Park.

Grimsby signed the trio from Oldham, Barnsley and Darlington respectively.

Newell told the club's website: "We would love to keep them, maybe extend their loans or make them permanent.

"It's out of our hands until we know what Barnsley, Darlington and Oldham want to do. We are waiting on the clubs to make decisions."
