Daish has fear over fans' website

Daish's Ebbsfleet currently lie 14th in the Blue Square Premier

Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish is concerned he will be faced with budget cuts if not enough people renew their MyFootballClub membership.

30,000 people paid 35 a year ago to be able to vote on the club's major decisions.

But Daish fears if numbers fall then he could be unable to keep the Fleet in the Blue Square Premier.

"I'm not going to turn away or stick my head in the sand but of course it is a worry," he told BBC Radio Kent.

"We've worked very hard at this club turning it from part-time to full-time and it has taken a lot of hours and a lot of effort.

"It would be a real shame if it didn't remain like that."

MyFootballClub has members spread over 80 countries.

They can have their say on team selection, vote on player transfers as well as other decisions affecting the club.

Striker Michael Gash's move was aided by a MyFootballClub initiative, which raised 20,000 for Daish to invest in his squad.

The decision to sell striker Jon Akinde to Bristol City for 140,000 was also voted on by the website's members.
