Gillingham captain Barry Fuller is a doubt for their trip to Norwich on Saturday after breaking his nose during their 3-2 win over Leeds United.
The right-back was replaced just four minutes in after a clash of heads with team-mate Darren Dennehy.
Fuller is already wearing a protective cast on his right arm after breaking it eight weeks ago.
"It all depends on how quickly the swelling goes down," Gills manager Mark Stimson told BBC Radio Kent.
He added: "But if there's half a chance then he'll be out there.
"He'll have his arm strapped up and his face strapped up - he'll be like some sort of super hero.
"I think we should just bandage him up like a mummy out there."
Gillingham's surprise win over promotion hopefuls Leeds has eased their relegation woes slightly.
They are now 19th in League One - three points above the drop zone, with three games to play.
BBC Radio Kent will have commentary of Norwich v Gillingham on 96.7 and 104.2 FM.
